Daily Spite: More tasty nuggets

  • Justin Timberlake has revealed he finds it hard to talk to the media about splitting from ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz because they’re still friends - but he’ll defend her if he hears her being insulted. Justin told GQ magazine recently: “It’s hard for me to talk about because we’re talking about a person that I love and respect. If I hear anyone say anything bad about Cameron then I’ll have something to say to them.”

  • Avril Lavigne and husband Deryck Whibley have bought Meet the Barkers’s Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler’s former home in Bel-Air, where the reality show was filmed. Avril and Deryck are thought to have paid around $9.5million for the 8bed/10bath three-storey property that has a high-tech kitchen, 10 car garage and full spa with steam shower, pool and sauna. Real estate broker Arnold Horland told People magazine that Avril fell in love with the home the first time she saw it: “She had to have it.”

  • Britney Spears spent $3000 during a private shopping session on Sunday afternoon after she asked staff at the Lisa Kline boutique in Beverly Hills to close the shop to the public. Britney spent $2000 on items for herself and another $1000 on kids clothes for her sons, Sean and Jayden while in the store. Employee Kate Levington told People magazine: “She was in a great mood, ecstatic really. She was lots of fun to shop with. We had music on in the stores and she danced to the music and she ran around and picked out stuff for herself and her boys. You could tell she enjoyed herself.”
